Sarah loved singing as a child and enjoyed any opportunity she had to sing in musicals and choirs. In first grade, she was thinking she'd become a teacher but it wasn't until much later that her love of music and teaching converged.
Throughout high school and college, Sarah participated in piano lessons, voice lessons, and choir. She was blessed to have excellent choir directors in both high school and college that challenged and pushed her. She remembered how she had loved singing as a child and wanted to pass the love of choral singing on to other children. While yet in high school Sarah gave piano lessons and taught some choir/musicals at church.
After college, Sarah again picked up doing children's choir at her church and began working as an actress at Sight & Sound Theatres. After marrying Jason and moving to Columbus, OH, she became involved directing children's choir at their church and also began teaching music in a Christian school. Another move later, she was directing Christmas pageants with the children at their new church, and now, back in Columbus, she has taught in a school setting and is teaching piano, organizing music camps, directing a Christmas pageant, and starting a children's choir in Lewis Center!
